July 21, 2008 VICTORIA & VANCOUVER (FEATURING FAMILY, FRIENDS & FOOD)

My cousin "Tommy Transit", driver of the Hummingbird Pub Bus. (Pictures provided by Tom as we actually met at his home in Vancouver. ) He is a great guy and true "character". His web site is http://tommytransit.com/

Nephew Stuart's 14th Birthday Party (#1), celebrated early as we would be back in Mexico when the actual date rolls around.

Sandra caught in the act of cleaning our house. The house sitting sons standards are "different". No one took a picture of me cleaning the bathroom (thank-you) or painting the deck railing, but who's complaining.

Family dinner at award winning restaurant Paprika, Oak Bay, BC. Son Steve, in white at back, is one of the three cooks.

Three sister reunion, with face to face Scrabble game replacing the facebook version they usually play online.

Son Mike and significant other Cory treat their parents to a backyard picnic.

Day sail aboard SV Sea Quin IV. The weather was sunny, warm AND we had just the right amount of wind. Dinner with CFSA friends at the Four Mile Pub.

Mother in law Loretta on her way to a "Red Hat" outing.

Bluewater Cruising Association (BCA) annual year end BBQ and Mustang Life Vest demonstration. A great time was had by all.

"Grand puppies" Brock and Bob.

Father's day with sons Steve, Rob and Mike. Visits with Grandma Letts.

Visits with friends Derrik & Kathyrn, Bob and Shelley, Mike and Cathy, Alex and Carol. Not pictured are Tony and Connie as I forgot my camera! Ironic, as they are the couple that got us into cruising in the first place!

It is family, friends and food that make life worthwhile.
