November 2011 - PASSAGE TO MEXICO

We left the Rio Dulce in company with SV "Jocks Lodge" (Iain & Jan) en-route to Isla Mujeres, Mx.  We encountered adverse weather conditions and detoured into Belize seeking shelter.  After days of anchoring and staying on the boat, so as not to have to check into Belize, we continued on, in less then ideal conditions.  SV "Jocks Lodge" stayed in Belize and ended up there for the season.  Iain & Jan bussed up to Mexico (more to follow on our adventures together in future postings).

We sailed with Iian & Jan and had a great time. Haven't heard from them since we reached Australia. If you see them we wish them well and thank them for their hospitality and friendship.
