October 4th, 5th & 6th, 2007 SACRAMENTO TO EMERYVILLE

The navigation markers are excellent and provided our primary source of guidance in the SF Delta.

Great scenery that reminded us of Kamloops or the Southern Okanagan back in BC.

Many reminders that California is the 6th largest economy in the world.

The super cool lighthouse / B&B at the mouth of San Pablo Bay. Regular visitors to this site may remember an earlier picture from our trip into the Bay. The nearby railway bridge has 75 ft of clearance (we need 60 ft), but was open for a freighter and they kept it open for us, just in case.

The Municipal Marina at Emeryville contains a bird sanctuary. The staff are great at this marina, but they charge the highest fee ($35 / night) we encountered so far and they did not have showers available as they were being renovated. The private marina next door has better facilities and charges less, go figure!
