October 20th to 22nd, 2007 PORT SAN LOUIS / AVILA
A beautiful Bay, but exposed to the South West. Red sky in the morning, but caused by wildfire smoke, not a weather pattern.
The serf means you dingy to the pier to land, a new art in trying to stay dry. The days were HOT and the water looks tempting, but was COLD. The beaches are great and the lifeguards were right out of Babe(Oops Bay)watch.
Friends Tod Susan & Sequoia off SV Sugata.
Marine research station in Avila. This and tourism are the main economic drivers. The town was rebuilt by the old companies, after a spill polluted the area. Everything along the waterfront is brand new.
