June, 2017 - IBIZA, SPAIN - DAY TRIP VIA BUS

We took the 11 am bus to the capital of the Island.  Ibiza has an old walled town that has been occupied for thousands of years and is an UNESCO heritage site.

One highlight was the Necropolis Museum.  This grave site has been in use since Carthaginian times and also includes graves from the Punic and Roman occupations.  The museum does an excellent job of tracing the customs of each society.

The walled town and the Cathedral are also worth the hike up to the top.  The views are awesome.

It was Sunday and some things were closed, but the Museums were free.

We had time for one Art Museum.
