June, 2017 - LAS ILLETAS (NEAR PALMA), SPAIN

A 8 hour passage to Las Illetas, an anchorage near Palma, on the next Island in the Balearic chain, Mallorca.  Started out as a great sail, making 6 kts, but had to motor the last half.

We selected this anchorage primarily to catch up with friends Mike and Cate, abourd Kealoha V.  Took 3 attempts to get anchored, as the anchorage was crowded, with patches of weed to foul the anchor.

Spent almost a week here catching up with Mike and Cate, doing boat projects and visiting Palma.

While in Palma I was inadvertently captured on a video that was published on U-Tube.   I found out when I got an e-mail from Tod, who we sailed with in California and Mexico in 2007 and 2008.  How he identified me in my split second appearance, after some 8+ years, is astonishing.

We pass a rock that looks like Queen Victoria and her throne.

We enjoy the company of Mike and Cate.

We visit the beautiful city of Palma.
