June,2017 - PORTINATX, SPAIN

We moved one hour up the NW Coast to Portinatx.  Arrived early and got a good spot near shore.  The anchorage filled up as the day went on and we were glad of our early arrival.

Spent 5 days in this lovely anchorage, exploring with the dingy, went ashore for lunch and ice cream and had "Sundowners" with new acquaintances Jill and Phil on SV "Deliverance".  They are Brits, in their 70's, have circumnavigated the world and now spend each season in the Med.  We really enjoyed their company.  They were waiting for their 20s something Grandson to join them.

Sandra had her first swim in the Med!!!  It took several days of 30 C temperatures for her to brave the 20 + C water.   I have been enjoying swimming many of our days at anchor.

We get a prime spot near lovely homes and close to the village beach and shops.

 We explore with the dingy.

Inuit Inukshuk in the Med???

The anchorage from one of the Bars on the shore.

It is hot enough for full cockpit cover to provide shade.
