The Oakland Yacht Club (OYC) earns five stars in our book. Friendly staff and members, great facilities, including morning coffee. One of the OYC members, Marilee Shaffer, owns Waypoint - Complete Cruising Solutions. They have a comprehensive selection of cruising guides, charts, etc. Her business partner Don Melcher specializes in on board navigation and SSB radio solutions. We found them very knowledgeable and helpful. We found all the cruising guides we were looking for and a very good chart package (combination paper & electronic) for the SF Bay / Delta area.
