July, 2016 - PUERTO DE VIVEIRO, SPAIN - REVISITED

We were enjoying a lovely sail to our next port, in the company of SV Kealoha, when I started to experience a sharp pain in my side.  We returned to seek medical advise.

I phone my private insurance for guidance.  They advised to go to a hospital, pay if they would not accept the private insurance, then send them the bill. We asked the marina staff where the hospital was and they pointed to a building just across the street.   It was an emergency clinic, where I received excellent care and they accepted the private insurance, no problem.

We stayed for three days to ensure that the medication prescribed did the job.  It did and we continued or journey impressed with the care I received.
